Pre-dawn: Depart Arusha for Lake Eyasi
Pickup from your Arusha hotel at 04:30. Drive south-west through Karatu and the Iraqw highlands, dropping into the Rift Valley to reach Eyasi around 08:00.

Morning: On the hunt with the Hadzabe
Walk into the Hadzabe camp, share fire and greetings with the elders, then leave with the hunting party on foot. Expect two to three hours of walking behind the men as they flush small game, gather honey and demonstrate fire-making.

Midday: Datoga blacksmiths and boma
Drive 20 minutes to a Datoga boma. Meet the blacksmith at his forge, watch arrowheads and jewellery being made, tour the compound, and share a traditional lunch prepared by the family.

Afternoon: Return to Arusha
Depart Eyasi in the early afternoon and drive back via Karatu and Mto wa Mbu, reaching your Arusha hotel by 18:30-19:30 depending on traffic.
