A bridge between cultures, born on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.
Western Bridge Africa was born from a deep passion for Tanzania's natural beauty and a strong desire to share it with the world. Based in the vibrant city of Arusha - the heart of East African tourism - our company stands as a bridge between cultures, connecting travellers from all over the globe with the breathtaking landscapes, wildlife, and people of Africa.
Our story begins with humble roots. Before the company was officially founded, our founder, Mashauri Meroja Gweresi, worked tirelessly as a porter on Mount Kilimanjaro. Through long days and challenging climbs, he discovered not only the true spirit of adventure but also the importance of hospitality, teamwork, and dedication.
After years of hard work and experience, Mashauri advanced to become a professional tour guide. For nearly a decade, he led travellers through Tanzania's most iconic destinations - Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and Zanzibar - earning respect for his deep knowledge, reliability and genuine care for clients.
Today, Western Bridge Africa continues to grow, guided by a commitment to excellence and a deep love for Tanzania. We specialise in tailor-made safaris, mountain adventures and cultural experiences designed to connect you with the real Africa - its people, wildlife and soul.
Mashauri Meroja Gweresi & Aneta Fąfara - partners in life and on the trail.
Born and raised in Tanzania, Mashauri's journey in the tourism industry began from the ground - literally - as a porter on Mount Kilimanjaro. Carrying heavy loads for climbers and walking endless mountain trails taught him not only endurance but also the value of service and humility. Over the next ten years he grew into a professional mountain and safari guide, earning a reputation for warmth, reliability and a deep knowledge of Tanzania's wildlife, geography and cultures.
Aneta Fąfara grew up in Poland with a traveller's heart and a long fascination with East Africa - its landscapes, its wildlife and the people who call it home. What began as a personal dream to stand on the roof of Africa would end up changing the direction of her life.
Mashauri and Aneta first met on Mount Kilimanjaro - Mashauri leading the climb, Aneta among the climbers pushing for the summit. Somewhere between the Machame huts and Uhuru Peak, a shared love of the mountain turned into a shared vision: a Tanzanian travel company built on real local expertise and a European traveller's eye for detail and care.
Together they founded Western Bridge Africa to bridge Tanzania and the world - Tanzanian-led on the ground in Arusha, with a direct line to travellers across Europe (yes, including the Polish number at the top of this page). Every itinerary we design carries a piece of the trip that brought us together.
“Every journey is a bridge - a bridge between people, cultures and nature.”

To provide exceptional and authentic travel experiences across Tanzania and East Africa by combining professional service, local expertise, and a deep passion for nature and culture.
To be a leading travel company in Africa, inspiring the world to explore, appreciate, and protect the continent's natural and cultural heritage.
Small groups, slow mornings, and the right camp at the right time of the year. Locally owned, locally guided, locally accountable.
Four ways to see Tanzania - done properly.
Mountain Climbing
Kilimanjaro, Meru and Ol Doinyo Lengai - led by KPAP-registered mountain crews we've climbed with for years.
Wildlife Safaris
Private and small-group safaris across the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Lake Manyara and the wider Northern Circuit.
Cultural Experiences
Meaningful days with Maasai, Hadzabe and Chagga communities - arranged with the elders, never staged for the camera.
Tailored Itineraries
Every journey is designed one traveller at a time. No fixed packages, no forced departures, no shared vehicles unless you ask.
A small team. A shared standard. The same care on every trip.
Our guides, planners, cooks, drivers and mountain crews grew up here. They know the roads before the rains, the camps worth the drive, and the seasons that make each park sing. That's the difference between a booking engine and a company that lives on the ground.
