9-Day Safari & Zanzibar

1. 1

   Days 1-5: Northern Circuit safari

   Five-day private safari covering Tarangire, two nights in the central Serengeti, and a full day in the Ngorongoro Crater. See the 5-Day Mid-Season Safari itinerary for the day-by-day. On day five rather than returning to Arusha, you transfer to the Seronera or Manyara airstrip for the afternoon flight to Zanzibar.

2. 2

   Day 6: Fly Serengeti → Zanzibar

   Morning game drive in the Serengeti, then transfer to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Zanzibar via Arusha. Arrive Zanzibar by mid-afternoon and transfer to your east-coast beach property. The first evening is unstructured, sundowner on the beach, dinner at the lodge.

3. 3

   Day 7: Zanzibar east coast

   Free day on the beach. Optional excursions: snorkelling at Mnemba Atoll, kitesurfing lesson at Paje, or a spice farm tour with a Swahili lunch in a village house. The coral reef directly offshore is excellent for snorkelling at high tide.

4. 4

   Day 8: Zanzibar, Stone Town option

   Either a second free day on the beach, or transfer into Stone Town for a walking tour with a local historian (spice market, Old Fort, House of Wonders, Anglican Cathedral) and a sunset dhow cruise from Forodhani Gardens. Overnight in Stone Town at a heritage hotel or return to the beach.

5. 5

   Day 9: Departure

   Transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward flight. Late check-out can be arranged at the property if your flight is in the evening.
