Day 1: Arrive Zanzibar
Met at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Zanzibar and transferred to Essque Zalu on the north-east coast. Check in, lunch on the terrace, and the afternoon at leisure on the beach or by the pool.

Day 2: Zanzibar at leisure
A full day at leisure on the island. Optional excursions include a spice tour, a Stone Town half-day, snorkelling on the fringing reef, or a sunset dhow cruise. All meals at the resort.

Day 3: Fly to Mikumi and afternoon game drive
Morning transfer to the airport and short scheduled flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi via Dar es Salaam (roughly one to two hours in total). Land at the Mikumi airstrip and transfer to Vuma Hills Tented Camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive on the Mkata plains for elephant, lion, giraffe, buffalo and zebra. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hills.

Day 4: Full day in Mikumi
Sunrise game drive on the Mkata plains, then breakfast at camp. Mid-morning drive to the Hippo Pool and Chamgore riverine woodland. Return to camp for a hot lunch and a midday rest. Late-afternoon drive to Mwanambogo dam for elephant, buffalo and birds. Dinner and overnight at Vuma Hills.

Day 5: Final drive and depart Mikumi
Final sunrise game drive, breakfast at camp, then transfer to the Mikumi airstrip for the short scheduled flight back to Dar es Salaam in time for onward international connections.
