3-Day Mikumi National Park Safari

Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi
Morning pick-up from your Dar es Salaam hotel and transfer to Mikumi (four to five hours by road or SGR train Dar to Morogoro plus road transfer). Lunch at the lodge, then an afternoon game drive on the Mkata plains for elephant, lion, giraffe, wildebeest and zebra. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-day game drive in Mikumi
After an early breakfast, spend the entire day in the park with a packed lunch. Work the Mkata Floodplain, the Hippo Pool, the Chamgore riverine woodland (place of pythons) and the Mwanambogo Dam. Watch for tree-climbing lions, leopard, wild dog (occasional), and vast herds of buffalo and giraffe. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Sunrise drive and return to Dar
Final sunrise game drive to catch predators before the heat of the day. Late breakfast at the lodge, then transfer back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the afternoon in time for onward arrangements.
