Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park
Early morning pick-up from your Dar es Salaam hotel and road transfer to Mikumi National Park (four to five hours), or optional SGR train Dar to Morogoro followed by a shorter road transfer. Lunch at the lodge on arrival, then head straight out for an afternoon game drive on the Mkata plains in search of elephant, giraffe, lion, buffalo, zebra and eland. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-day game drive and return to Dar
Sunrise game drive to catch predators before the heat of the day, followed by a late breakfast at the lodge. Return to the park for a further drive, including a visit to the Hippo Pool and the Chamgore area, with a packed lunch in the bush. Mid-afternoon, transfer back to Dar es Salaam in time for your evening arrangements or onward flight.
