Safari Overview

Four days is the shortest sensible window for a first visit to Zanzibar that actually covers both sides of the island. This itinerary is written specifically for guests coming off a Northern Circuit safari or arriving from a business trip who want the essentials - Stone Town, spice, beach - without over-committing the calendar.
You spend one night in a heritage hotel inside the old quarter of Stone Town. A guided walking tour the following morning covers the Old Fort, the Anglican Cathedral over the slave-market site, the spice market, and the carved doors that give the town its UNESCO listing. Sunset that first evening is from a traditional dhow leaving Forodhani Gardens.
Day two transfers east via a working spice plantation, with a two-hour walking tour and a Swahili village lunch. Days two and three are on the east coast at a boutique beach property with direct sand access, a swimming pool for low-tide afternoons, and a kitchen that takes Swahili coastal cooking seriously. An optional Mnemba Atoll snorkelling half-day is easy to add on the ground.
The trip suits couples on a short break, safari guests looking for a well-timed decompression, or business travellers extending a weekend into a genuine Indian Ocean stop.
